Program 2202 -- Mary Chapin Carpenter and Michael Moschen

Mary Chapin CarpenterOn Monday, July 13 at 8pm ET (check local listings), singer-songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter favors Symphony Hall with a sampling of her many country and folk music hits. The recipient of five Grammys and two Country Music Association Awards, Carpenter has established herself as an artist whose talents bridge several musical genres. From her first platinum record, Shooting Straight in the Dark, Carpenter offers "Down at the Twist and Shout" and the title song from her Grammy Award-winning album, Stones in the Road. Also on the bill is performance artist Michael Moschen. Michael MoschenA former circus clown, Moschen's innovative blend of illusion, mime, light, motion, and juggling is a sight to behold. Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Orchestra take Moschen's art to new heights by pairing his breathtaking visual display with music by Stravinsky, Mascagni, Gounod, and Irving Berlin.
