Back to Biographies Susan Dangel, Coordinating Producer Susan Dangel's production talents have touched EVENING AT POPS for over twenty years. Dangel's knowledge and passion for the performing arts can be traced throughout her career in her productions, as well as in her position as Fine Arts Director at the Great Woods Center for the Performing Arts in Mansfield, Massachusetts. Dangel's production career with WGBH Boston began in 1974 as associate producer for the original ZOOM™. Her production repertoire includes: twenty-one seasons of An Evening of Championship Skating; Seiji Ozawa 25th Anniversary, a video portrait for Boston Symphony Orchestra's opening night gala; 10th Anniversary Car Talk Gala and videotape, featuring Tom and Ray, the Smothers Brothers, The Flying Karamazov Brothers, and Dr. Joyce Brothers; A Birthday Party for Julia Child: Compliments to the Chef, a gala and PBS special celebrating the French Chef's eightieth birthday; A Boston Symphony Family Concert with Keith Lockhart; and Star Wars evenings with John Williams at Great Woods and the Hollywood Bowl.
Most recently, Dangel has been tapped to serve as a producer for the much anticipated PBS Millennium Broadcast, 2000 Today.
