- Research, Solutions and Specifications for Classroom Media, a slide-show discussion of three projects underway at NCAM-- Researching Effective Description Practices, Access to Mobile Devices and Universally Designed Digital Library-- each of which contribute to making technology-enabled learning accessible.
- The Digital Television Transition, or "I Want My (Accessible) DTV", Technology and Persons with Disabilities 2008 Conference, March 14, 2008 (PowerPoint slides, 2.8MB). Learn what works, what doesn't and what's still needed to bring an accessible wide-screen HDTV with functioning captioning and description into your living room.
- The Internet Captioning Forum: AOL, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo!, WGBH Tackle Online Captioning, Technology and Persons with Disabilities 2008 Conference, March 13, 2008. The leading providers of Web-based video have joined with media access pioneer WGBH/NCAM to develop solutions that will increase the amount of captioned online video. - Captioning Solutions for Handheld Media and Mobile Devices, Technology and Persons with Disabilities 2008 Conference, March 12, 2008 (PowerPoint slides, 2.8MB).
