Accessible DVDs

The following mainstream films have been released on DVD with captions and descriptive narration. All can be purchased wherever DVDs are sold. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment announced in the fall of 2009 that it would include the descriptive narration track created for theatrical release in theaters equipped with WGBH's MoPix systems on DVD and Blu-Ray versions of those films. Universal Pictures has committed to the same practice.

We continue to work with additional studios' home entertainment divisions to encourage them to make their DVD releases fully accessible. To contact these distributors to advocate for DVD releases with video description link to a full list of Hollywood studio contacts at: http://ncam.wgbh.org/mopix/studios.html.

Bookmark this page and check back often for newly released DVDs with DVS® and announcements about additional studios joining the effort!
