| Faces of WGBH | ||||
WGBH has been called "the citadel of science programming" by no less than The New York Times. Paula heads up the team of science journalists who create Nova (the most-watched science TV series in the world and PBS's most-watched documentary series) and other programs that demystify science and technology for millions of viewers worldwide. She began her career at WGBH in 1969 as a log typist in the scheduling office. "WGBH makes wonderful programs that are very content rich. I never go home feeling that I haven't accomplished something. I do such interesting things all day long! If you're a hard worker -- and WGBH is filled with hard workers -- WGBH is flexible enough so you can work on many different projects over the course of time and find what it is in the broadcast industry that interests you. There are real opportunities for growth at WGBH; even young people with limited experience get to really stretch themselves." |
