|Faces of WGBH|
Antiques Roadshow, PBS's most popular prime-time series, is produced right here at WGBH. Marsha Bemko sits at the helm of this compelling mix of treasure hunt, history lesson, travel adventure, and real-life drama, leading a seasoned staff and crew on an annual cross-country summer tour of taping events, followed by a winter of post- and pre-production. She picks what cities the Roadshow visits, supervises event preparations, structures the shows, and ultimately decides what makes it to air. Marsha began her WGBH career as a clerk typist and has since held almost every position within television production.
"Shooting the shows is fun, like summer camp for adults. But my real love is editing the shows, when we go into post-production, and sit down and see what we have. I feel privileged to be able to do that work with such a fabulous team and in an environment like WGBH."
