Background:
This work was created to showcase several video dance pieces created through the Workshop. It appears to have been broadcast on the KTCA series "Alive From Off Center."

Scope:
Includes a 1" master, Betacam SP preservation master, and VHS screening copy of "Summer Dances." Also included are four 1" work tapes or "slop reels," and a combination of 3/4" worktapes and screening copies of the completed work. The WGBH master for this piece lacks credits.
One folder contains project descriptions.

It is a compilation of excerpts from site-specific out-of-doors dances produced by the New Television Workshop. Segments from "You Little Wild Heart," "Secret of the Waterfall," "George's House," "District 1," and "From an Island Summer" make up the program, which appears to have aired as an episode of "Alive From Off Center." For more information on the individual works featured as segments, consult their program records.
