Background:
"New England Fishermen," 1985, was created by video artist Joan Logue for The Contemporary Art Television (CAT) Fund.
Scope:
Includes a 1" master, Betacam SP preservation master, and VHS and multiple 3/4" screening copies. One of these 3/4" screening copies also features "O Panama."It features about nine short portraits of mostly older fishermen telling single stories, many of them anecdotal, relating to their experience in the profession. The interviews are shot in locations relating to fishing -- boats, a pier, a bar.
