Jay Anania's "Louis Zukofsky" is a portrait of the poet and his work. The film opens with a reading accompanied by words as pictures. The poem seems a mix of English and Latin words. Zukofsky's wife, the composer Celia Thaew, appears. She and a singer perform an original composition, which features one of Zukofsky's poems set to music.
