Background:
This appears to have been broadcast as part of "Artist's Showcase" and considered for inclusion in "Landscape in Motion."
Scope:
Betacam SP and D3 preservation masters and a VHS screening copy have been created from the 3/4" copy of this work. Visible timecode is present. In "Inertia," a person remains seated in a desert setting. Through time-lapse techniques, the sun rises and sets. Clouds move swiftly across the sky. Finally, the person leaves and walks away. Voiceover text implores the viewer not to consider the figure as a permanent part of the landscape. There is relatively little credit information, and what is there is difficult to read.
