The work was broadcast as part of the "Artist's Showcase" series.
Scope:
"A Color Piece for Television" appears on several versions of videos originally labeled "Primordial Soup" along with a work of that title. A 2" master, a Betacam SP preservation master, and a VHS screening copy of that work exist.In this image-processed work, the shading and color saturation of a textural image slowly change through electronic manipulation, forming a serious study in color and light. The piece is about three minutes long and takes place in silence.
