The oral histories were archived as part of the New Television Workshop Collection. Some of the interview footage had been mastered onto 1" videoreels. A number of 3/4" masters were found with tapes originating from Susan Dowling's office. Additional interviews have been conducted as part of the 1998 - 1999 processing project.

Scope:
Includes videotaped interviews with key visual and performing artists and designers, recorded between 1979-1981. These were created by the staff of the New Television Workshop through funding from various grants. Some plans existed to incorporate these materials into works for broadcast. Documentation about some of the projects exists. The oral histories completed in 1998 and 1999 are listed in Appendix B.
