Sharon Stevens reports on a new code of discipline for Boston Public School students, called for by Judge Arthur Garrity (federal court judge). Stevens reports that school suspension guidelines have been called into question; that minority students were given suspensions more frequently than white students. Stevens reports that the Boston School Committee is scheduled to vote next week on the new code of discipline. Stevens does several takes of the introduction and ending to her report.
