Description : Abstract
David Boeri reports that Jesse Jackson (African American political leader) spoke at the Massachusetts State House about the importance of access to higher education. Boeri notes that many supporters turned out to listen to Jackson. Jackson urges the audience to vote for candidates who support education. Boeri's report includes footage of Jackson addressing the audience. Boeri notes that some students cannot afford higher education because of the increasing costs of higher education and federal cuts in student aid. Boeri interviews Kevin Sheehan (State Student Association of Massachusetts) and Mike Ferrigno (State Student Association of Massachusetts) about the price of higher education.
