Program Description
Program focuses on four academic institutions in Boston offering programs of interest to the Third World community. Host Beth Deare speaks with James Patterson (Executive Director of the Massachusetts Pre-Engineering Program [MASSPEP] for Minority Students at Wentworth Institute of Technology), Betty Richardson (Director of Admissions for Roxbury Community College and new Chair for the Human Rights Committee of the Executive Committee of the New England Association of College Admissions Counselors, Gregory Ricks (Special Assistant to the President of Northeastern University, Associate Dean of Administration and an assistant professor in the College of Education), and Carmen Dillon (Associate Dean of Student Affairs at the College of Public and Community Service at the University of Massachusetts) about admissions requirements, special needs programs for minority students, financial assistance, work study programs, and career development.
