Program Description
Program serves as a compilation of three previously aired segments related to the Chinese American community in Boston: Program 708, "Dismissing Some Myths About Chinese Americans," in which host Barbara Barrow-Murray speaks with May Ling Tong, Director of the Chinese American Civic Association, Program 814, "Third World Potpourri," in which Barbara Barrow speaks with actress Tsai Chin, a performer with the actors' group Cambridge Ensemble, and Program 715, "Economic Development of the Chinese Community," in which Barbara Barrow speaks with Chinese Economic Development Council (CEDC) Executive Director William Leong and Joseph Chow, Director of Program Development. Program includes two previously unaired "Third World Connection" segments narrated by Mario Valdes that discuss the original habitants of China (a mixture of Chinese and African) and the Polynesian Islands (with ties to the Persian Gulf and Pre-Aryan India populations).
